Whether it's excusing or evading the actions of Hamas on 7th October or justifying the subsquent Israeli state slaughter in Gaza because of those actions, the war of words has become an end in itself in which it has become impossible to recognise the humanity of the other side.

In relation to the Amsterdam events it should be possible to recognise both the provocative racist behaviour of Maccabi fans and the violent anti-Semitism of some pro-Palestinian groups without descending into competitive pointscoring.

how come Jews and Jewish associated localities are being attacked daily in Europe, the UK, the US and elsewhere."When they came for me you did nothing, now they are coming for you." Whenever mosques or muslims were attacked for things happening around the world that was nothing to do with them, this forum was full of comments rightly supporting them. I can't help hearing the deafening silence now.
