If their fans wanted to summarily attack Jews in the streets, they'd be doing it to portions of their own fan base every home game.
It *should* further destroy the trust in these businesses & institutions (not to mention the politicians & talking heads providing the quotes). It *should* make people more wary of their products in the future, and sceptical & inquisitive about their previous narratives. Especially those concerning controversial accusations of anti-Semitism and the Israeli state in general.
That there's been such a widespread attempt to present it as such is part of an ongoing effort to terrorise Jewish communities into feeling they're not safe to walk the streets. Given this is all in pursuit of political goals, I don't think it's a stretch to call it a form of terrorism.

Whenever mosques or muslims were attacked for things happening around the world that was nothing to do with them, this forum was full of comments rightly supporting them. I can't help hearing the deafening silence now.
