my parents are downsizing and as they are in their late 80s I'm getting involved in the buying and selling

In the past a friend used to do my conveyancing but he seems to have been struck off !

The estate agents have recommended a solicitor but I wouldn't know how much to expect for the buying part or selling part

Does the price of the property make any difference to the price, other than any stamp duty

So how much would be reasonable to pay for selling a property and for buying a property
