Or even any clear strategy in terms of plugging obvious gaps in the squad. Nevermind the likes of signing Maupay as a backup for Calvert-Lewin(!), we've been crying out for a right back for years and still only have one genuine left back in the squad.
Maybe decisions are being made above his head (but not sure who that would be by this summer given everyone in charge has fucked off) but I don't think he has a good track record overall really.
If there is money to spend, players to buy for the philosophy then he should buy them for the next manager.
