The problem he has is that any increase in attacking output needs to come before the tough fixture list. For sure we need to have more of an idea what to do on a counter attack other than “stand on the halfway line and watch Calvert-Lewin do it all by himself”.

understandably but we have gone back to looking like there are no goals in the team at all, unless they are gifted to us. The Ipswich game remains the only one I've seen that you could call a good performance, and even then it hinged on a close penalty call that went our way.

At the start of the season we were too open. Do you think Dyche has sacrificed ambition for defensive solidity and when the team is more stable defensive, he will let the handbrake off more.
There were games last season on our good run where Mykolenko got into the box more, and it’s what we need. Make up for the lack of ability with numbers and Gueye and Mangala have been steady defensively. Previous Message

I see little of a team plan on the pitch. Last year I thought we looked more ugly but there was evidence of DCL laying off to others. This season it looks a combination of aimless long balls with a smattering of trying to play but those on the pitch are all on different wavelengths.
It’s the lack of width from both full backs combined with lack of pace from McNeill and general uselessness of Harrison. Ergo, we can’t cross. Previous Message

Those free / loan players are still being paid a fortune and should be capable of being coached into a team that can do the basics. Pass, move, shoot etc.
You say they’re a motley crew of footballers. But Southampton, Ipswich, Leicester at least look like they can do the basics. We haven’t for years now.

Dyche has had little or no money to spend and has to try and play expansive football with this motley crew of footballers.

Yes they’ve both spent but generally not expensive players.
Compare to our shambles which usually looks like a poor pub team. I can’t wait for Dyche to go.
