Are NATO going to war with a nuclear superpower over a non member?
It also means "Putin embolded and prepared to have another go, with Ukraine or elsewhere".
You only have to look at what happened over the Sudetenland in 1938 and 1939 to recognize where the appeasement of fascism leads.
"stuffed" means "lost territory but no longer at war" ??
B is just too much for Russian army at the moment. There are about 40 million Ukrainians and Russian army just has lost too many men to control the entire country. And they know it. Putin can declare victory by getting Donbass and Lukhansk and Crimea officially. He can then start rebuilding his army for the next time. And they won't make the same mistakes again and their stockpiles will actually contain only weapons that work and are relatively modern.
is it:
a. Zelensky will be forced to accept a cease fire, return Kursk, give up the Donbas but remain as President and then face massive Russian interference in the next Presidential election
b. Russian ground troops take Kiev and Ukraine joins Belarus as an occupied territory
something else
As Trump cozies up to Russia and distances old allies. Ukraine is stuffed. If he follows through on tariffs he will risk creating a new global recession. He might throw Taiwan to the Chinese wolf to offset their hostility to tariffs.
I am glad I do not live in USA (unlike my brother, brother-in-law and assorted cousins) but those who fund Trump will now see the opportunity to pour money behind Badenoch, Farage and their counterparts across Europe. Much like Covid national borders will be no defence.
Hard to see much upside tbh but Trump/GOP, Musk, RFK et al are grifters at heart so they may be too busy getting rich at their nation’s expense to do many of the batshit things they promised.
Just playing devils advocate.
