Youssef Chermiti: Sporting - Everton
Matheus Nunes: Sporting - Wolves, Man City
André Gomes: Benfica - Valencia, Barcalona, Everton...
Rúben Dias: Benfica - Man City
Nuno Tavares: Benfica - Arsenal
Fábio Vieira: Porto - Arsenal
This is beginning to look more and more like a trick question...
Taking just the PL and La Liga count as top leagues, then there's a few...
CR7: Sporting - ManU
Deco: Porto - Barcelona
Rui Patricio: Sporting - Wolves
Cedric Soares: Sporting - S'Hampton, Arsenal
José Fonte: Benfica - Palace
Eric Dier: Sporting - Spurs
Marcos Rojo: Sporting - ManU
Bruno Fernandes: Sporting - ManU
Raphinha: Sporting - (Rennes), Leeds, Barcelona
Nicolás Otamendi: Porto - Valencia, Man City
Diogo Dalot: Porto - ManU
Éder Militão: Porto - Real Madrid
Ruben Neves: Porto - Wolves
Radamel Falcao: Porto - Athletico Madrid
Fábio Silva: Porto - Wolves
Pedro Neto: Braga - Wolves
Nelson Semedo: Benfica - Barcelona
last but not least... for this list anyway. (I guess there are others).
James Rodriguez: Porto - (Monaco), Real Madrid
No idea what this proves... probably nothing.
There are good players in all leagues. Could the Portugese Premeira league be seen as a 'feeder league', most likely.
And Maupay was quite a good example, at least for us.
But that's why people do say the thing that annoys you. Primeira is not one of the top leagues, probably more at the level of Holland. Also similar because there are a few top teams that are usually much better than the rest.
You can only play against what is put in front of you, and if he is doing so well in the Portuguese league, then he is quite obviously player who can perform at a higher level.
