The other one is "you can't shout leave it"
Again there must be refs who penalise that shout because players are adamant that you cant shout leave it or mine and they dont believe me when I say you can
Quite a few in my Sunday league who apply it all the time. Could be that those players have just gotten too used to it.
probably because most of the games I do are on 4g pitches and you probably dont want to be voluntarily throwing yourself to the ground on them
Plenty of cheating but mostly just moaning, moaning for everything.
Grassroots expectations of referees is unrealistic especially without assistants
They moan for offsides, they moan for foul throws, they moan if a player takes a throw in 2 yards further forward despite premier league players consistently taking 15 yards
The biggest moan usually is wanting a foul for "2 hands". Apparently and I must have missed this in the law book but having 2 hands on a players back is an automatic foul
They expect you to see everything
They expect you to see a late challenge when you've looked up to see if someone is offside
They expect you to see that the ball has gone 1mm over the goalline, that you can't see cos the sun is in your eyes, from 40 yards away
They shout for their throw. You give it the other way and tell them "you know its not yours" and they go "well you've got to ask"
And I say, you ask because you want me to get it wrong so don't get mad if I get it wrong and it goes against you then
are the players at your level as bad as these "top class" twats at diving, cheating and feigning injury? And does it bother you? If they are, is there nothing you can do about it?
