I reckon there's two prerequisites for pass and move - they need to utterly trust each other and those they need to trust must be trustworthy, technically speaking.
Also, if the opposition also plays pass and move except with more expensive players you look so fucking clueless without the ball or the yard dogs required to win it back/deal with the pressure.
The most delicious of moral treats.
