..for years and years it's done my head in that (as others have commented on) we lack ideas when in possession, but that's a problem based in the fact that our players almost never (of course there have been exceptions) seem to know how, when, why and where to move when a team mate has the ball. Frequently this leeds to hoofing or passes to players with one or more opponents on top of him, leading in turn to panic and poor passes. With more thoughtful movement there are more space, easier passes and better chances to create something.
It's weird to me that so many managers either have missed this or more probably inherited players completely untrainable in this. And if the ladder, then please PLEASE do something about scouting and recruiting.
