It’s 21 degrees in Toronto (unheard of at this time of year…we had snow last Halloween). Kids went to school in their Batgirl / skeleton costumes, super excited for the day and evening. Kids and parents getting together tonight to walk around the village; adults without kids typically sitting on the porches handing out candy…
There’s something just less cynical and more enjoyable about these types of things in North America, in my experience (and I wasn’t a Halloween fan when I lived in the UK but living out here has opened my eyes to just having fun with it).
Enjoy
Such a lovely evening. Going to be 80 degrees in CT tonight - hottest Halloween ever. I will be taking my youngest amongst the colorful leaves and happy children and generally making myself happy at seeing so many cheery young faces.
I fucking detest Halloween. Trick or Treat beggars sending the dog mental.
Unfortunately, it looks like the weather will be dry.
Rant over.
