they got him on something he did that was illegal at the end of the day, no matter what you think about the manoeuvring behind the scenes to make it stick.

and that's before the classified documents stuff, the insurrection stuff, and the other myriad allegations from multiple women (and the epstein links) out there as well. i'm guessing he's hoping to be elected so he can pardon himself or dismiss the cases in some way, because something will stick.

i probably wouldn't be bothered about him if he appeared in any way competent or even compos mentis, but he comes across like an escaped mental patient with delusions of grandeur.
