There was an interesting discussion last week about who (if anyone) should be dropped to make way for Branthwaite in central defence. It struck that Jake O'Brian our new 15m defender didn't enter the conversation at all.

As the weeks go by he seems to be fading away and I'm wondering if Dyche has taken a look it at him and decided he's not going to cut it, like Moyes did with Kroldrup nearly 20 years ago.

I've read some people believe he is being groomed as Branthwaite replacement for next season and if that the case then fair enough but you'd think he would have gotten some minutes by now particularly when all three of our start central defenders have been carrying injuries.
