but there is a lot of potential there. I'd expect him to be brought through slowly and I hope he's getting some one-on-one coaching to speed up his development - he could be a real star in 2-3 years' time under the right circumstances.
Mangala looks far better technically than Doucoure but Dyche doesn't seem to fully trust him, at least not yet.
Doucoure and Gana just don't cut it as a defensive midfield duo.
Harrison is simply not good enough, no matter how hard he works.
Young and Keane have been two of the most vilified players we've fielded in recent times but even their harshest critics must admit they've done consistently well the past few games.
I don't really place much blame on DCL, he is not a great finisher but otherwise an excellent modern day centre forward who has been given next to nothing to feed on - best thing all round if he moves on in the summer I think, so long as we have a plan for what comes next. Which probably would not include Beto, I have a soft spot for him but he's not good enough to lead the line on a regular basis.
Finally, Pickford is our best player and we would be playing Championship football now without him.
….but I doubt it.
Harrison can’t cross a ball & if he runs into one more cul-de-sac/blind alley with the ball I’ll scream
DCL doesn’t look bothered to me, & is getting bullied by every defender we play. To be fair he can’t knock long balls down to himself & the only balls to feet are when he’s on the wing (why? Get in the middle!!!)
I heard someone on R5 say Doucoure spent more time marking Gana while Berge ran free. Fair comment….
I enjoyed the Beto/Keane combo & a bit of aggression is what we need. More of that please?
