Yes, ideally we'd get a younger man with fresh, modern ideas who can build something. But right now that isn't an option. Right now, managerial decisions are short term.

Yes, I'm sure that ideally Moyes would like to join a club and have the time to build and affect every facet of the club, etc. That's his MO. He won't get that at Everton right now. But despite that being how he usually operates best, he's still a far better manager than Dyche and if he was in charge right now would put out a team/employ tactics that are at the very least effective. In my humble opinion at least.

We should throw money at him and convince him to accept a deal even if it will probably only be a short term arrangement.

with David Moyes. For me he totally showed what the 11 years meant to him. It became part of him, it wasn't just a job in football. He also showed the passion Bill Kenwright had for the club. Apparently he was the cause of much of our present problems according to TPFers who know more about him than I do, but Moyes certainly showed me another side. I think it would be a bad move to sack another manager but the one man I would bring in to replace Dyche at this point would be David Moyes. He'd be the perfect manager to take us through the next move to the new stadium. We need a steady hand just to get us on a good footing as a new owner comes in. Then give him a directorship. When you hear him talk about the players that were brought in, when he had little money to work with, you want to cry.
