Nobody is saying that Branthwaite's return will solve all our problems, but he's obviously a major upgrade on Keane.
"Everything will be fine when Linderoth is back" used to be the saying around 20 years ago.
I may be in a minority but I don't think Michael Keane is the root to all or most of our problems. And replacing him with Branthwaite won't solve the problem of Everton not looking like a football team. Most of the time we look like a bunch of random guys that have been thrown on the field, thus the inability to string passes together. Whenever one of our players gets the ball he doesn't know what to do with it - hence McNeill so often has to run backwards, Armstrong passing the ball back (Southampton, resulting in boos), etc. We simply do not look like a team that practices football skills together every day.
The players we have are not poor, and you can see glimpses of what they are able to do in every match, so this is on the coach.
Because IMHO nothing is going to get better until he is.
