Last night, the holding was pretty obvious to all (apart from the ref and the assistant) and it should have resulted in a card even in the first half. But he was just as guilty of stupid fouls and holding as well. Its fine to stand your ground , but at times it might actually help the team if he attempts to go to the ball and lay off to move us forward.
But maybe he's instructed to try and win freekicks, after all I saw no other actual attacking plan when we won the ball.
His size and strength almost works against him because he finds himself in grappling matches all the time.
Maybe it’s up to him to adjust his game to win more fouls.
But other than that he is shit isn’t he.
The bench we’re going mental with him after their goal last night (not that he cared….) & it spoke volumes that they carted him off.
His running style of lolloping everywhere doesn’t help, but he’s just a poor man’s Bret Angel isn’t he.
