It does seem increasingly clear that Dyche isn't the long-term man for the job, mainly due to his inability or unwillingness to recognise when things aren't working and to make changes accordingly.
I thought there was some good stuff in fits and starts last night, Lindstrom takes either of those chances and we win - yes he fluffed them but at least he was getting in the right positions.
We haven't got a great squad but there should be enough there to stay up comfortably, especially once Branthwaite is back.
Leicester game is huge now. Whatever Dyche's future, I think we all need something to lift the spirits.
…..then I think it’s hitting a critical mass and his position will become untenable very fast, possibly by Saturday evening.
I think it’s a mistake in football terms ( I’d like to get 12 games in and see ) but at the same time if the fans are done with him it’s hard to find a way back.
In normal circumstances it would be simple of course but the ownership situation is what it is.
Moyes will give us more of the same. Maybe that’s enough with the promising signs going forward and the players to return.
But it will almost certainly mean 2 changes of coach in short succession.
The new players look like they can add something but the tactics will not get the best out of this group of players. No easy answer to it as I don’t believe there is any plan beyond Dyche and I don’t know who could replace him on a short-term contract other than Moyes, who would be equally unsuitable.
So, this happened. But it is what it is, until it isn't.
