So could we in that case end up with a team that is basically the players no-one wanted because their wages are so high (Keane, Holgate - or could these contracts also be terminated in this case?) and kids who don't seem particularly good?
Thinking of Derby a few years back when Rooney was there. Of course they started at -12 but they didn't have many seasoned pros in the squad.

And was that rule (if it exists) to prevent already relegated clubs from pulling the admin card when they're already down, whereas for us, if we'd still be safe maybe it's within the rules to take another 9 points on the chin.
Not that I am advocating it, as the consequences sound somewhat unpredictable/frightening.
