I've not seen a lot of Luton, but when I have, I think he's been slightly above average in a distinctly average team - I can't say he'd bring that much benefit to us, and with the baggage he's already got from shafting the club out of millions when he left, he'd be starting 5 miles behind the starting line with lots of our fans anyway and they'd get on his back as some as his form dipped.
A definite nope from me, and even further - if he was/is someone we were/are seriously looking at then we clearly need far far better scouts as there must be better out there even to fit our meagre budget.
Our history with him. If we weren't Everton and he wasn't him, it might make sense. But there's way too much drama involved.
I also think he's probably best staying away from Merseyside. I have no major ill feelings towards him, but I really don't think that reunion works out well for anyone.
Which is a shame. Because otherwise he's a good player and will possibly be available.
Any time I have seen him this season he has been excellent.
Otherwise, I'd take Barkley, Doughty and maybe Chong from Luton in the summer.
