It's just a stupid opinion of his I strongly disagree with rather than a piece of actual reporting. And I think Auclair and Josimar have done excellent reporting on this takeover and we should be glad that they are. They don't have an agenda against Everton. We need people like that to be looking into these deals with vigour, given our owners don't seem to care who we are sold to.
Of course we can all say all journalists are shits and we shouldn't believe anything. But personally, I think well researched, accountable journalism is to be celebrated.
Aside from that, if you don’t believe the journos, you only need to look at 777’s current confirmed financial messes all over the world that are tangibly true, to see that these guys are charlatans and grifters.
It could come from. The capital markets are a gossip fest. Potentially lots of advisers, lenders, lawyers will have some form of information. Bloomberg is a specialist news agency. They are not perfect but they will not be reporting something from a random bloke in a coffee shop.
Bloomberg's story states:
'Everton FC has held talks with restructuring advisers after Miami-based 777 Partners struggled to complete its takeover, according to people familiar with the matter.'
Who are those people? The club? Local reporters. It might well be the Esk for all we know.
