It could easily have come down to a point or two, in which case making the appeal was the right thing to do.
I suspect, as well (as Blake says), that some of our thinking is re future charges...either understanding how to better mitigate those or seeing if we can get a committee to agree with how we've accounted for certain items, so that we can use that in future arguments.
We should be far enough ahead now that even if they deducted an extra six points I think we'd be safe.
I don't really see a downside tbh.
