As has also been said elsewhere, at the end of the season, depending on where Everton and Forest both end up when the dust settles, it's likely that a few teams (those that we would have finished above) will actually benefit directly by earning more prize money than the points they have accumulated deserve. That can't be right either?
That the “hidden” effect of losing these 8 points is currently 2 league places worth £5m in placement payments.
So, to punish us for suffering lost revenue they take revenue off us thus compounding the PSR issue in the following season. You couldn’t make it up.

Hopefully it will be a short "Nah, 2 points is what you're getting, off you trot" - although even a pint returned might end up moving us up one place and getting a few more ££££ so who knows....
