There’s a lot to do. Here are a few profiles of players I think we could do with.
Pacy left forward - Mykolenko can lock down a right winger but is still developing as an attacker so take the pressure off that by giving him someone in front of him who can carry attacks alone.
Attacking right back - We need what we hoped Patterson would be, someone who can defend but whose strength is overlapping.
Creative wide player - Someone who will drift in from the right hand side to create space for the right back but who can pass the ball. Essentially we need right sided clones of Baines and Pienaar.
Replacement for Onana - he’s almost certain to go.
Replacement for Branthwaite - hopefully not an immediate replacement but if we can get someone in this summer so they can step in next year.
Backup left back - most likely a veteran on a free to cover
Wharton and Rogers have proven there is quality in the Championship. Lots of positive reports on Jordan James at Birmingham, who are likely to be relegated, and it wouldn’t surprise me if everyone is ready to jump on Bellingham in case he is just half as good as his brother.
I’d also be looking at the youth teams of City and Chelsea for potential loan signings (or just Chelsea’s excess squad players if they spend again this summer).
With any luck we line up as follows:
Pickford
New right back
Tarkowski
Branthwaite
Mykolenko
Onana replacement
Garner
McNeil
New creative wide player
Calvert-Lewin
New left forward
I'd let Keane go and Patterson, and Obviously Maupay, and I wouldnt resign Danjuma
If we can keep the rest great, if someone has to be sold, wait til after Euros, and sell Onana and keep Branthwaite
I dont know who I'd want tbh
If spurs want Onana I'd ask for Richy and cash
:D
but IF we could get an experienced striker (like callum wilson) I think it would be a good addition.
And some pace on the wing, irrespective of Harrison / McNeil, we need some pace.
Be good to find someone who can compete with Doucoure too
