I remember Glenn Hysen was regarded as the new Alan Hansen/Beckenbaur.
We went, “strong and long” literally, like Wimbledon if memory serves me right, Dalglish packed in and Hysen’s weakness was exposed.
I think by that stage we’d resorted to those tactics as we were miles away from where we ‘d been only a few a years earlier.
I cant be the only person who didn't think we would get anything from the game and I've been all smiles ever since. But this morning I've been wondering have I had a similar experience of enjoying an unexpected win when no one gave us a chance.
Two games come to mind -
The Ferguson game in 94 when I think we may have been bottom of the league going in and they might have been top.
The Cadamarterie derby when it seemed Howard had lost the team but then we went out and wiped the floor with them.
Am I missing any others?
