One of the fondest memories of my life was being taken to Goodison for the first time at the age of 6 in 1975 by my dad who recently passed. Living a long way away now I hadn't managed to get there for many years but I made a point of staying on after my dad's funeral in order to see the Crystal Palace fa cup replay and though it was a dreadful game of football I was so glad I went because it rekindled so many memories for me of happy times, many spent with my dad in the 70s and 80s.
She's actually "The Grand Old Lady".
