I wanted him back for the longest time. Then I felt we'd moved on - as had he - and it was time to let the past be the past. Particularly as there's a large group of our fans who'll never forgive and forget so he'll be on a hiding to nothing at the first sign of a bad run.
BUT he's lightyears better than Dyche in every respect (coaching, tactics, playing style, changes in game, transfer market nous, development of youth etc etc etc). Plus there's nobody better who'd even consider coming to us, so I'm now back in favour again.
I'm not sure if he'd touch it, tbh. I'd hope a combo of understanding the club better than anyone, the size that we still are, the facilities (training ground and new stadium) that he'd have access to, wanting to live in the area...maybe all of those things are enough to convince him.
