Also what happened to the weaponry that the Ukraine is desperately short of and was promised on a regular basis by NATO is this another thing that we shouldn’t do incase we upset Putin?

That's not within NATO's remit, unless they intend to put NATO personnel on the ground to install it, train Ukranians and/or man it.
Individual NATO states may do that, but for NATO itself to do that says "NATO is now in direct conflict with Russia".
I don't think I need to tell you where that ends up.
Something that was promised months ago it’s not an offensive weapon just a means for the Ukraine to defend their country.

this is, from a global perspective, probably rather a good thing.
One might also point out that the Ukraine affair is hardly a manichean struggle between goodies and baddies.
