Imagine there’s a big button you could push, and doing so would wipe Everton from existence. You can still retain whatever fond memories you have of supporting us over the years, but they’d not be related to specific moments involving football scores.
You could still watch some football, but there’d be no Everton. You wouldn’t need to follow games, every weekend is like those wonderful international breaks with no fixtures.
Or, imagine another button. Push that and we’re in League One, playing out of Bramley Moore Dock. Our debts are cleared and we have moderate, competent owners who have plans for PL but based on a sensible business model where we recruit well and invest in the academy.
