Perhaps a spawny 1-0 win might set in motion a series of much needed results…we’re difficult enough to break down and a touch of luck / better finishing would’ve turned some of our defeats into draws (e.g. today) and draws into wins.
I think Dyche is a dinosaur with no plan b. I also think he’s pretty much as good as we can get, right now. More importantly, we’ve neither the cash nor decision makers to get rid of him so he’s clearly here until the end of the season, if not longer.
We’re fortunate to a) have had a semi decent start to the season and b) be blessed with two nailed on relegation candidates, plus Luton and a points-deducted Forest to keep us company. We’re as bad as anyone over the last 12 games (statistically and hyperbolically).
alone October or whatever. But we can't have been this bad all season, or we'd have 8 points or something.
As Col says, it's Dyche until the summer at least. We don't really know how he's done as he's had to work on a sinking ship since he arrived. The squad is the problem. One of the problems.
While all of us are clearly cursed, we’ve miraculously avoided relegation on multiple occasions stretching back to that Wimbledon game in the 90s.
Two down against Wimbledon / Palace…and still came back to win and stay up. Coventry. Bournemouth. We’re cursed - but with a limit.
Non-emotional assessment: We’re fucking terrible and are relying on other teams losing more games than us, tbh.
because we are awful, and I really don't have any confidence that we will even beat Burnley. We seem to be a team unable to change our approach, and other teams have figured us out. 5 goals in our last 12 games is relegation form.
