Last time out Sean Dyche polled a solid 6.99 from 272 votes despite a downtrend in the results of the weeks prior. Unfortunately that downtrend has continued and the team have failed to pick up a win since the last poll, gaining only 3 points from 18 available.
On the plus side, the other clubs around us remain equally as shit and so we have managed to stay out of the bottom three, and even improved our position (for now) after Forest's points deduction. Of our final 8 fixtures only away to Arsenal on the last day looks a complete write off, and we play all 5 teams around us so our fate is completely in our own hands.
On the negative side, the lack of goals and wins has clearly taken it's toll on player confidence, a further points deduction looms and the financial uncertainty around the club continues to drag on and distract. Further to this *sarcasm mode on* ... Dyche took it upon himself to start physically battering the players during the recent team building break, and now none of them want to play for him ... *sarcasm mode off*.
The next week will be crucial. Ironically the next two fixtures being away from home (Bournemouth/Newcastle) may help the team given how woeful our home form is. Then our first 6 pointer (of sorts) at Goodison vs a Burnley team which has lost four of their last 5 away matches. 5 or more points from those matches and you would be confident we'll see the job through. 3 or less and we'll have every right to be very concerned with only 5 games to play.
At this critical point in the season how do you view the job that Sean Dyche is doing in extremely testing circumstances?
