You can say what you want about the points deduction and where we’d be / the impact it’s had, but we’re running out of games to pick up the points we need. One point from Palace and West Ham at home is not gonna do it. Palace was frustrating because of how Dyche set us up. At least today we had a go (Areola’s excellence kept them in it).
The problem is we don’t have many options. When you look at what was on the bench, Calvert-Lewin, Coleman and Gomes are the only real changes you could make (and Beto did ok / Godfrey’s been sound, so it’s not like we’re leaving quality out of the side). I’d think about bringing Gomes in, because he can at least pass the fucking thing five yards to a blue shirt, but you’re probably sacrificing Doucoure and there’s not many goals in this side as it is (altho he’s been awful last two).
