I can't get excited by any of it now. I'm not even sure if it's a good thing or bad. If we get points back and it prevents us from being relegated, what does it really give us? The chance to go through another season hanging off the coat tails of the rich clubs? We can't progress, we can't compete, we will not be allowed to. If we get ourselves financially stable we can only afford to buy prospects with potential in the hope that they come good. Then the richer clubs buy them off us and we are back to square one. We could splurge all of our budget on one or two big signings but they will ultimately have to be moved on as we couldn't maintain their wages unless we get in the champions league or wherever - and that won't be allowed either. We've missed the boat thanks to the clowns 'running' the club for decades and won't have a chance to compete at the top on a level playing field unless the whole process collapses. And the money involved in this process won't allow that too. The only way we can 'compete' is to drop down into the EFL but that could kill us off financially, never to return. I absolutely despise footy right now. I couldn't even celebrate our equaliser last night as I was completely bored shitless to the point of not caring. The only, only way I can see a way out of this mess is for the 'top 6' to fuck off to their superleague pipedream in the hope that it becomes too unsustainable and it eventually eats itself. There are no football men in charge anymore, just moneymen. And it's killed the competition.
