You’re right that Arteta was an influential player, but not any more than Cahill, Baines, Jags, Pienaar, Ferguson and maybe even Osman, Stubbs, Carsley, Yobo (a personal favorite of mine). We had a decent team in which he played a part.
As an evertonian he failed.
I guess it’s a matter of taste in football and personality. I liked Gravesen better, I understand you hate him with a passion. I don’t - and he was good enough to Real Madrid.
I understand Mozart is highly rated. I accept that, it’s just not for me. Same with footballers. I hear you, I respect your opinion. I just don’t think he’s special at all. Stats doesn’t really back you.
