There were a number of times yesterday where he won possession and passed it forward for a counter.

People seem to be blind to some of his contributions.

Of course he can do more, but he's not the passenger people keep describing

I see him as a young player who, yes, still has to improve and sometimes isn't on the right place. but on the whole I see him running box to box, covering the gaps doucoure and Gueye leave, and who doesn't make half the cock ups the other two do. he has height and drive and power in spades. he tackles well, breaks up the play, and definitely benefits from having willing runners in front of him to pass to.

But then most people didn't rate carsley for a while, either.

I expect him to be bought by someone higher up the tree in the next couple of seasons, tbh. I think he's still raw, but I really don't get the hate on here at all.
