Have to clarify, I work for Dell. Was a happy corporate customer (used to buy Dell when I was purchasing manager in Microsoft etc) long before I was an employee. Great laptops (I’ve driven them for +12 years).

However. My last purchase was a MacBook Pro M1. I record a lot of music and I never had a good experience working on the Winx platforms. If your IT ecosystem is predominantly Apple it’s the way to go. There is a comparison I make between Apple and the Catholic Church - once they have ya it’s very hard to get out!

The only downside for the Mac is the cost. They’re really expensive even compared to Dell Alienware etc. My last MacBook Pro lasted 12 years and I had to update it because of issues with updating Logic Pro X.
