…any time I’ve historically ever considered a Windows laptop I’ve just found things like the touchpad inferior, but that’s probably less/not the case any more and I’m sure you can now spend less on a comparable Windows laptop (The Guardian tends to review Apple alternatives from time to time).

But for build quality, reliability, battery life (the modern MacBooks use ARM chips that consume a lot less energy), fingerprint sensor, (buying stuff online via Apple Pay using your finger is way too easy!) it’s going to be hard to beat if you’re prepared to pay more than you would for a similiar spec Windows laptop.

The days of Apple computers not having the software needed has long gone, I’m amazed how quickly and professionally my 14 year old can knock up a fancy PowerPoint presentation with all sorts of fancy transitions and graphics.

You won’t go far wrong with the Air.
