Didnít queue for long
Tour of the cape is a very easy drive if you have a car
The cage diving is easy to book too, but youíre looking at a 3hr drive as most of them are done from the other side of Hermanus I think (but worth going here if itís whale season!!!).
Iím told the Great Whites have been chased away by 2 Orcas that have taken up residency, when I was there it was much smaller ones
Iíd recommend the Botanical Gardens outside CT, Iíd the Jacarandas are in bloom itís beautiful
Lots of seafront restaurants in Camps Bay - great views over the beach for sunset
We are in Capetown for 4 days. Staying at the Premier Hotel in Sea Point.
We were maybe going to go up Table Mountain and a tour to the Cape. Would they be easily bookable there rather than before hand.
Restaurant recommendations would be really welcome.
I also have a ten to maybe go cage diving with the sharks!!!
Safari, then Capetown, then wine area.
Really looking forward to it. Wondered how much money to take, thanks for info
Just back from South Africa where prices are still great value for food and drink.
Remember spending a night watching Everton v West Brom (2-0 I think) and the bill for 3 with food and a lot of drink was less than £50. The same night in Hong Kong or Singapore would have been triple at least.
About this time 10 years ago I went to Siem Reap in a group of 13 and we simply couldnít believe the prices. One bar had a sign ĎBeer 50 cents - Happy Hour 35 centsí. Needless to say it was Happy Hour the whole time we were there.
Youíre right about HCMC though - really not much to see as a tourist and crossing some of those roads - wow!
Stopped initially at Bangkok. Been there many times. Love it.
First time in Saigon / Ho Chi Minh. Not a lot to do or see here. Wouldnít come back. People very nice, like Thailand but just so much busier than Bangkok. Neither particularly cheap even though we thought Saigon would be.
Iíve fancied there for years, never got round to it yet
Iíve never been so hot. 38 degrees, no breeze. Busiest city Iíve ever been in.
losing just a little more faith every day, and credibility too apparently
