He’s also one of those “proper football men” who are continually puzzled by any changes in the game
case in point this week was him calling out the “really late” flags for offside, which anyone who’s been paying the slightest bit of attention knows has been a thing since they introduced VAR.
The way he commentates is like someone down the road, like they just dragged someone off the street to give a blow by blow account emotionally. Not exactly a knowledge on the game, although I know he is a decent ex player and a brilliant and inspirational person of the pitch.
Yes, Jenas and most of them are crap too, but hey it's not like I'm anti Welsh or anything, I just thought he was very basic and like some bloke off the street commenting on what I could see myself. Maybe they are all like that to an extent, but for me - and we are ok giving opinions I aren't we? - he has been pretty shit.
Having said that, there is something to be said for someone so passionate and nationalistic to be commentating.
Said Wales were crap in the 1st half which they were. Praised Wales in the 2nd half when they deserved it for a better performance.
Maybe I am biased because I am Welsh.
It’s not all about England you know. Oh hang on a minute Jenas is great isn’t he.
It's like watching the match in the pub with your twatty uncles even more twatty welsh mate.
I like Alex Scott, and the girl who does the ref watch during the week. They know their stuff.
That female commentators on live TV football are truly awful to listen to.
I know she may know a lot about the game etc but it’s the shrieking every time one team has a chance.
