I have quietly speculated for a while that Cahill will be in, quite possibly as CEO as soon as the WC is done.
I wouldn't be shocked if some kind of Qatari buyer follows him through the door. Previous Message
...ranging from "Bill is stepping down this summer" to "Denise is actively looking for another job and has been told she can leave" (the latter of which of course sounds like an absolutely nonsensical situation!)
Kenwright has some of "his people" in place now (Sharp as a non-executive board member, Prentice in Communications, and arguably even DBB) so it might be some sort of "exit strategy" but I still can't see him leaving voluntarily until after the stadium is complete so he can try to get himself a statue built or a stand named after himself!
I was also told before Thursday's match that the club is actively for sale, have received and rejected one bid, but have encouraged the potential buyers to come back with a better one - the main driver not being the state of the football club, but the sanctions against our owner's best mate cutting off a planned major pipeline of income.
Another one I heard is that, after his work is done with the World Cup, Tim Cahill will be joining us (perhaps as chairman? my own musing not anything I was told)
Interesting times ahead for sure. Previous Message
".. Thelwell will report directly to Everton’s directors, including chairman Bill Kenwright and CEO Denise Barrett-Baxendale."
With BSB still there nothing's going to change.
