I think Norway gives major subsidies like no car tax to those who buy an electric car. nt
But then again, seems like half the population is driving Teslas..
We went to the Lofoten islands to see the Northern Lights a couple of years ago & travelled up & down the whole archipelago.
Wonderful place, stunning scenery & wildlife, but limited accommodation. You will also need your biggest wallet Iím afraidÖ.but Iíd go again in a heartbeat
In 1974 as a 17 year old, me & a couple of mates bought Interrail tickets and travelled around western Europe by train for a month.
This year is the 50th anniversary of Interrail & to mark this they had a 50% sale. I've recently retired, & have treated myself to a 2 month ticket that gives me unlimited travel on European trains. I intend to travel either this autumn or next spring.
I'm thinking of heading to northern Norway & Sweden, then Finland, the Baltic states & Eastern Europe.
Does anyone have any advice on northern Scandanavia, places to see, travel (especially trains) etc. Also, same re the Baltic countries?
Thanks a million
