bar going to Kiruna and watching them move some of the town 2 miles eastwards, whilst the rest sinks due to mining - doubt it'll be too exciting!!
Abisko is walking country (National Park) served by the Kiruna/Narvik line.
There's summer skiing (easy) on Fonna glacier; and everyone's favourite, the train on the Flam Line and boat back to Bergen - no walking involved though, except inspecting the waterfall.
Enjoy your journey - saw the InterRail sale but a year or so too soon for me - I am very jealous!
In 1974 as a 17 year old, me & a couple of mates bought Interrail tickets and travelled around western Europe by train for a month.
This year is the 50th anniversary of Interrail & to mark this they had a 50% sale. I've recently retired, & have treated myself to a 2 month ticket that gives me unlimited travel on European trains. I intend to travel either this autumn or next spring.
I'm thinking of heading to northern Norway & Sweden, then Finland, the Baltic states & Eastern Europe.
Does anyone have any advice on northern Scandanavia, places to see, travel (especially trains) etc. Also, same re the Baltic countries?
Thanks a million
