Re: Yes, yes, I see Lampard is fine
Edwards was highly thought of at Chelsea. So much so that when Lampard was sacked, Tuchel kept him on. They would apparently liked to have kept him. Young, upcoming coach.
Clement is an experienced coach who has been manager at several clubs and also four years as a coach at Chelsea. Has worked both with Lampard (when he was still playing) and Ancelotti, who took him to several clubs with him (Chelsea, PSG, Real and Bayern Munich). He has also managed England's U21 team.
Now we are apparently trying to sign Barry from Chelsea. He's some sort of set piece guru. Lampard tried to get him already in January but that didn't happen. Chelsea definitely would like to keep him.
It's of course hard to tell these things as a punter but people in the industry seem to rate these guys. https://www.evertonfc.com/news/2468819/in-profile-lampards-everton-coaching-trio
But what about his coaching team that has been lauded here so many times in my 28 hours (or so) of waking-up?
Öwe were indeed ####ed by the time Benitez left.
If nothing else, Lampard has united the squad and fans and got them playing for their survival and tactically producing letís face it some brilliant results (Chelsea, Man U, Leicester away).
Thatís a good enough for me for his first 5 months.
was a miracle in itself. We were a busted flush under the FSW who operated a devide and conquer routine that failed miserably.... the team was a split camp and about to implode.
If you look at the coaches Lampard has brought in, they are a mix of young and old with experience and winning mentality.
They also have a huge advantage in they were not in debt to our Chairman for the job ! I think it was a well thought out move to bring in a large independend backroom staff that would help him deal with any behind the scenes shitstirring from sitting tennants.
Lampard is young and hungry for success, he has already won most over with his enthusiasm and energetic approach (compared to the last incumbemt who resembled a disgruntled burnt out school teacher). I expect we will see some young players arriving as the squad changes in the next year, success will not come easy but its not impossible if he can maintain team spirit as it changes.
