Anyone else who was there and loved every minute because we were safe, good on you and I’m glad you had fun. But my take was that the players can be safe and still put in the effort required to represent Everton FC.

...the squad has been running on fumes for the last few weeks with players running themselves into the ground and delaying operations and treatment to get us over the line.
I was 99% sure that we wouldn't see Gordon or Richarlison and was half expecting even more youngsters/squad players to be involved so that Lampard could have a look at them.
The Arsenal/Tottenham situation was pretty much resolved as Spurs were already in pole position and playing Norwich so to all intents and purposes it was a dead rubber of a match.
The comment from bluechris is the only even vaguely negative comment I've seen - most that attended seem to have had a great day, pressure-free at last, and with the bonus of that lot missing out on the league.
A point would have only moved us up the League because Southampton were beaten by 3 - again impossible to predict pre-match - and if the players you seemingly wanted to play could had sustained injuries.
Anyone expecting us to go all-out in that game after the last few weeks needs their head testing.
