It's only a relatively minor thing in the grand scheme of things, but as you say, the fact it has been an issue for years is clearly indicative of the state we're in.

You can see the lack of standards in the manager's press conferences - the questions from the journalists are all but inaudible, and it's been like this for years.

TBH I'm not surprised as the club is run like a golf club with a clique all operating with a nod and a wink. I know of a kid who got a work placement at Finch Farm and he said it was a disaster in terms of organisation. we seen it ourselves a few weeks ago when they sent out a staff email to the fans .... incompetence runs throughout the club as its all jobs for the boys.
Its been reported that Everton paid legal eagles to draft up multi million pound contracts and failed to have a relegation clause included ......
I'd rather die with our history than live with theirs...
