...over the last few weeks is how young the fan base seems all of a sudden. Watching from afar I had assumed the club had an ageing fanbase which would hardly be surprising given the mismanagement down the years and the success of our neighbours. Going to school in Liverpool as an Everton fan in the 70s and early 80s felt like a character building experience but at least a trophy felt possible and they always seemed within reach if and when we could get our act together. And so it proved. But now it must be several magnitudes tougher I would think. So hopefully we can turn that to our advantage in the years to come if we can sustain the sort of positivity the fans have generated in the run in.
