I think we all know the train set hogging charlatan wanted Moyes back and as much as part of our problem is sentiment and the old boys network. It would have been better, even in a period of resetting, than the current incumbent.
I really hope that fan reaction, opened the boards eyes and are newly resolved today to do something about it.
‘Benitez was all Moshiri; Kenwright never wanted him.’
Moshiri really should use stuff like this to just bin Kenwright off once and for all. Clear house. Long overdue. He’s tried to keep everyone happy and he just needs to step back and say: ‘Enough. We’re not a country club, we’re not here to be a cosy retirement home for ex-players, we’re here to win and be a serious football operation.’
If he fails after that then yeah, it’s all on him. As it is - as I said earlier - we’re Frankenstein’s monster off the pitch (boardroom/coaches etc) as well as on the pitch (six/seven managers’ worth of signings? Nuts). It’s little wonder we have no clear vision, identity or direction.
Moshiri should be at a crossroads here. And he really should see it as the opportunity to hard reset. #### sentiment, take charge.
Brands DBB and Kenwright and sitting there saying
"not our fault, WE didnt appoint him it was Farhad"
guarantee we'll see stories in the press about how they never wanted him, etc
Save their own hides and deflect
Camera panning to the 3 of them when their 4th went in and only Brands looking disgusted said a lot
