They are clearly not up to the task required.
Moshiri needs to get the first three appointments done, break the bank to pay someone of proven ability in each role.
Once these three are in place, Moshiri needs to #### off out of it, have his overview as owner in place and his say on the board, but keep your fingers out of decisions below this level.
Next up is DOF, again, the best person possible but appointed and decided by the CEO and given full reign to change the club.
Then assess the leadership team, do we have the absolute best? If yes give them the autonomy required, if not, thanks - bye, next one in….
Then they work down each of their responsible areas on the same mantra, do we have the right people in the right jobs with the right support, funding and facilities to perform at the absolute best.
It’s a long process, but no stone can be left unturned in any direction, marginal gains is massive in business and especially in sport.
With a supportive owner and a ruthless CEO, we could make huge progress in 12 months, but the total top to bottom review would probably take at least 3/4 years to complete and then 3/4 years for the positive changes to filter through the footballing side.
If we can’t do all of that, then for ####s sake put all our energy into the youth academy so we are either producing players for the team or producing players to sell, get away from this reliance on overpaying for shite in the hope they’ll improve us.
