Re: Delph was probably his signing.
I think we can all say Delph has not been value for money but I don’t remember any dissent at the time and his record did not suggest such long running injury problems.
Sometimes injuries kill valuable assets. Unfortunately we’ve had Bolasie and Gbamin pick up serious injuries soon after signing and Tosun pick up one just before we were going to sell him.
The biggest issue is chopping and changing managers of different styles so the playing squad fits no-one (and then the manager can blame that for as long as he can). If we stick with one manager (the right one) for 3 years, we’ll be much better and we can see the fruits of the changes at youth level.
Allan was 100% down to Ancelotti. Rondon is down to Benitez.
Out if interest, which overpriced has-been do you put down to him? And which players had their contracts extended unnecessarily?
Totally put this down to him and those who have stood with him
The lack of cover, not replacing saved players, a total waste of a youth setup, purchasing of overpriced has beens, granting of long term contracts when not required., a coaching home for previously poor failing players
It’s all on him
