It's not about results, it's his history. Even if we had played well we'd still have the same FFP

issues looming large and lots of holes in the squad. And we won't get better by trying to outspend everyone. Tried it, failed badly.
There's one Everton academy player who moved to France and is apparently doing very well there. https://www.goodisonnews.com/2021/10/28/missed-out-on-35million-mohamed-ali-cho-exit-could-haunt-everton/
Our Academy overall has been pretty shite but now we seem to have a few good ones.
As for not turning out well, DCL hasn't been too shabby.
We also hear constantly how this and that youngster is training with the first team and doing well and still being stuck playing in U23s.
And would these lads really be a worse option than Rondon? At least they would have pace and the ability to jump more than four inches. I'd get the not playing them if we had a proper option in the first team.
As they often do, the calls for giving the young players a game ramp up, there is always someone in the youth set up who should be playing but isn't. Yet not a single one of the players has gone on to prove those calls right.
is it possible that we are such a total disaster zone that no one has a clue whats going on as fractions within the club are not communicating ? I doubt if its that bad but who knows with EFC ffs.
As for Rafa not trusting young players, I think it can be a very easy call when you are on the outside loking in. However playing a kid in our current climate is very risky as some senior pros are more than capable of dumping on him* in order to save their own skin.
* hospital balls / passes to the wrong foot / passes behind them / shouting instructions to get forward or back in order to keep themselves onside etc etc its easy to wreck a kids head in a high pressure environment.
